Neurodiversity training

What neurodiversity training is available?

“An Introduction to Neurodiversity” is a good start point. The hour-long training session requires no previous knowledge from participants.

If you have already had an introduction to neurodiversity training session from myself or another provider, and you are now looking for something more specific, then I can help.

Additional training sessions include:

  • Neurodiversity training for managers
  • Practical steps employers can use to support neurodiversity in the workplace
  • Harnessing strengths and supporting challenges

If you are seeking more bespoke training, then please do let me know how I can best support you.

‘An Introduction to Neurodiversity’ content

This session covers:

  1. Frequently used definitions and language
  2. Overview of neurodivergent conditions
  3. Addressing commonly held assumptions
  4. Supporting strengths and challenges in the workplace
  5. How colleagues can support each other
  6. Suggested next steps

And includes lived-experience examples from my 25 year career working in corporate environments, to help colleagues better understand how this looks and what behaviours can help day-to-day.

How will neurodiversity training benefit the organisation?

Current estimations are that 15-20% of the population are neurodivergent. People with neurodivergent minds have the potential to make a significant positive contribution to your organisation. Perhaps through a different way of thinking and problem-solving. Perhaps using natural talent of having a keen attention to detail or ability in understanding complex information. Awareness, attitudes and the legacy systems in place in many organisations are holding back neurodivergent minds from being able to realise their potential. Now is your opportunity to make a difference that will positively affect all your colleagues.

Learn from my lived-experiences of having an autistic mind in the workplace. I share my first-hand experiences and you’ll receive practical advice you can implement to help your neurodivergent colleagues reach their potential and make a greater positive impact within your organisation.

How is training delivered?

Prices are based on delivery online, using your preferred video call platform (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).

I encourage interaction and questions during all sessions. Delegates are welcome to post questions and comments into chat and I will do my best to answer during the session. If I don’t have time to deliver all the training and answer questions, then I will respond to everyone in a follow-up email afterwards. I respect people’s time and will ensure that the session does not run past the time allocated!

If you are looking for a half-day or a programme of training to run beyond one session, then please let me know. I will happily discuss your brief and propose training to meet your specific needs.

I am happy to deliver training in-person, please contact me to discuss this further.

How else can I support inclusivity in the workplace?
